i am on a roll with my blogging this week!  forgive me for the many photos i will post...i could not pick which ones to show! i made my way to austin last weekend where i got to hang out with jen and mike!  they are really fun and were full of ideas the morning of the shoot!  we started off with a cup of joe and then went all over austin to play!  jen and mike are getting married in playa del carmen, mexico and i can't wait to be there with them!  i know it will be a beautiful wedding! 

here was the list of things that jen and mike wanted to capture:

it is a great idea to have ideas in your head that make your shots unique!  when clients let me in on their shared hobbies... it helps me capture who you are and get to know you more!! i love that i can spend the day with my clients and have fun doing it!

nary and gerald met while attending the university of texas, so it was fitting that we capture them at their old stomping grounds.

although i live in houston, i often travel to different cities for engagement sessions!  it is always fun to get out of town and have a fresh outlook when i shoot.  i see new things and that is always fun.  nary and gerald wanted to shoot in austin and i was excited to go! here are a few from their session.

they pulled up in the little green bug and did not know what they were getting themselves into.  i was quick to tell them to act normal and have fun for their session. that was challenging because they knew i was there with a camera.  once we warmed up we were not really taking pictures at all...we were catching up and talking about life and their upcoming wedding.  it is a great pleasure to take photos for allison and clark.  i went to high school with them and did not really know them up until now!  i am so excited to be a part of this time in their lives.  clark and allison are the most creative people ever; both artists!  i can't wait to shoot their wedding at the houston museum of natural science with the fun exhibits. it will be one night at the museum. here are a couple of fun shots.  

i had a great time with tova and brad last week...they are such a sweet couple and met at summer camp!  tova and brad are from south africa and are getting married there in january.  i wish i could go!  i was lucky to have the privelage to shoot their engagement session. we had a great time taking pictures downtown at discovery green and around some old parts of town.  here are some of their shots!
