i've never been too keen on flying but have managed to get used to the process.  we left for atlanta over thanksgiving and i was walking with kids in tow when someone stopped me along the way.  she was in a pilot uniform and asked if my daughters name was stella...of course i wondered who this lovely stranger was!  she introduced herself and come to find out she is a client who i had not met yet and we had an engagement shoot set up for the following week. she said she hoped that i did not have to see her in her pilot uniform again and i laughed after i walked on board and saw her in the cockpit.  i had never known someone to fly my plane before!  i am really happy to get to know this couple and shoot their upcoming wedding.  another fun fact about these two is that they happened to meet while flying.  if you look closely, i caught a plane flying overhead in the sky shot.

this wedding was a beautiful one!  emily is the owner of mia bridal here in houston and works with brides every day, so i knew she deserved a wedding that was beautiful!  the wedding took place at st. paul's methodist church and then reception was at the four seasons. here are the highlights....

this past weekend paige and matt were married at the glassell school of art.  i have to say that this wedding was the perfect way to end the season. i just had to grab a couple for you to see before the holiday break.  also, be sure to check out their smilebooth photos.

personal note:  i will be out of the office from 11-22 to 11-28 for the thanksgiving holiday.  excited to rest and relax on a lake in north carolina.  thankful once again.

vanessa and jim got married with their daughters by their side earlier this summer in santa fe.  they wanted to have family and friends celebrate with them here in houston so they put together the best backyard party at their home.  oh my! pocket pies food truck was there to start the party off right!  it was a perfect idea for a pre party snack.  congrats to vanessa and jim.
