last night i woke up gasping for air - i could not sleep without dreaming of sarah and her transition of leaving this earth. my sister called this morning letting me know that she had passed on around 4 am which was about the time of my awaking. i often contemplate about birth and death and how we enter into this world in a similar manner - it is a process and not always easy but in the end it is beautiful. certainly doubt is their with the unknown but know that comes with faith. sarah has given me hope in knowing that we need to trust that God is in control and loves us. one of my favorite photos was taken of sarah just after her reception through the car window. we will miss her greatly. here are the photos that i took during her last minute wedding and i think it may always remain as the best wedding to date.
a beautiful note from her husband on her blog:
"I think Sarah's light has shown so bright that this earth can no longer contain it. It's time for her to go to the true source of that light, to stop being the lone lantern shining into the darkness, but to join the grand symphony of radiance. It would seem selfish to keep her after she has worked so hard and is this close.
Shine bright firefly, shine bright... with tears in our eyes we cherish the path you illuminated."

What a beautiful blog entry. I didn't know Sarah but her story while so tragic is quite peaceful and makes me think about letting go all of the things that really aren't important. And focusing on what is. Thanks for that lesson.

I've followed her blog ever since you posted about her. She seems to have been a beautiful person, inside and out. I'm saddened that she has left this earth and her family, but she is not in pain anymore. You did an awesome job on her wedding photos. Completely beautiful!

I followed her blog and thought she was an amazing person. Her faithfulness to the Lord was so glorifying to God. Her life touched me and I will never be the same after sharing in her journey. I was so saddened to find out she had passed on but rejoice in the fact that she is in heaven, with Jesus, without any pain.
